Light & Sound Exhibition Invests in Robe iFORTE IP65 Moving Heads

Whether rental, sales, service, or design—Light & Sound Exhibition covers all areas of event technology as a full-service provider. With a broad technical portfolio and an equally versatile network of national and international partners, the company, founded in 1997 by Managing Director Reinhard Groiss, implements corporate events, live concerts, festivals, and much more. To better cover the diversity of productions, Light & Sound Exhibition recently invested in 16 units of the IP65-capable Robe iFORTE outdoor moving heads.

“We needed a powerful, fully outdoor-capable moving head that meets current rider standards while still being budget-friendly,” explains Reinhard Groiss about the key requirements. After an intensive shootout with several products, the choice fell on the Robe iFORTE, which, as the lightest IP fixture in its performance class, combines enormous light output and effect variety in a fully weather-protected housing.

“The iFORTE convinced us with its excellent light beam and strong colors. A special feature is also the ability to change the light engine, allowing, for example, to switch between HP and HCF engines depending on the application,” Reinhard Groiss adds.

Since April 2023, the 16 Robe iFORTEs have been a fixed part of the Light & Sound Exhibition portfolio and have already proven themselves at live concerts by Van Morrison and José González, among others. They have also been used at the Austria Center Vienna—the largest conference center in Austria—equipped with the HCF engine for natural colors and skin tones. In the coming months, further highlights are planned, including the Nova Rock Festival at the beginning of June and the ORF live broadcast of the Summer Night Gala in Grafenegg in front of the architecturally unique backdrop of the Wolkenturm.

For the future, Reinhard Groiss is already planning the next investment: “The Robe PAINTE has also caught our eye and would fit perfectly into our rental fleet.”
